Nature Council Member wins state Volunteer of the Year Award

April 14, 2016.

OCEAN CITY, MD – Jeffrey Budnitz has won the Maryland Recreation and Parks Association (MRPA) Community Volunteer of the Year Award.  The MRPA award is given to “An individual recognized for outstanding service to a local/community park, recreation or leisure program within the state.” Jeffery is a Lake Roland Nature Council Board Member and a tireless volunteer in the Park.

Lake Roland Ranger Jeff Ruark won a lifetime achievement award from the Park & Resource Conservation Branch of MRPA, the Tree Hugger of the Year Award.

Both Jeffrey Budnitz and Jeff Ruark received their awards at the MRPA Annual Conference in Ocean City, Maryland.
